LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is the technology at the very heart of all Data Control Technitic sensors; it utilizes Time-of-Flight (ToF) to resolve distance and reflectivity based on the known speed of light and records the information as a three-dimensional point cloud.
Emitters working at the 905 nanometer wavelength and highly-sensitive receptors calculate light’s Time-of-Flight (ToF) in order to gauge the object’s distance. The sensor’s capacity for detecting objects of varying size, form and reflectivity is fundamentally unaffected by factors such as ambient light/darkness or atmospheric conditions.
